About Shelter Island Country Club
The Shelter Island Country Club, known affectionately as "Goat Hill,” is a historic, nine-hole public golf course. The course was was established in 1901 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Little has changed in almost 120 years. The course covers 2,512 yards of widely varying, hilly terrain. These variations keep the course interesting round after round and from season to season. The Club is situated on one the highest points on the island with scenic views of Peconic Bay and Dering Harbor. Warm up before your round at our seven-station driving range. Golf carts, pull carts and clubs are available for rent. SICC Memberships rates start at $500, making Goat Hill one of the most affordable golf memberships on Long Island.
Everyone is welcome at Goat Hill. It’s is a great place to relax and enjoy a cold drink or a bite to eat. The Flying Goat Restaurant at The Shelter Island Country Club is open for lunch and dinner from mid-April to mid-October. The Club’s bar is open 7 days a week during the regular season. You can sit inside or enjoy the beautiful views from our covered porch.
The Pro Shop is now open daily 8am to 7pm. If inclement weather is anticipated, please contact the Pro Shop for the current status of golf operations prior to your time of play. 631-749-0416.
