Eagle Ridge Golf Club

One of the premier public courses in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, Eagle Ridge Golf Club is a 27-hole facility that has been rated nearly five stars by GolfPass readers. The three nines, which were designed by Brian Ault and James Cervone, are routed through terrain that's atypical to courses along the Jersey Shore. With hills, undulations, and elevation changes more akin to the Carolinas, the nines have a wide variety of holes and looks and is known for its excellent conditions. The Ridge Nine, which is just under 3,500 yards, plays across rugged terrain and rolling bluffs of an old quarry. The Pines is the shortest of the three nines at 3,239 yards from the back set of three tee boxes set among tall mature pines. And the Links Nine, which is more open, is the longest at 3,528 yards and features large rolling greens. Eagle Ridge also has several holes where water comes into play. The second hole on the Ridge is a 435-yard par-4 where golfers must navigate a big lake off the tee. A pond also comes into play on the approach shot of the par-4 seventh on the Links Nine - a 372-yard is a 90-degree dogleg left hole that requires a accuracy off the tee as well as the approach. Eagle Ridge also offers excellent practice facilities that include a range, short-game area and putting green. The Golf Academy at Eagle Ridge offers instruction from beginners to more accomplished players. Inside the clubhouse is a well-stocked golf shop and The Hut Snack Bar & Pub, which underwent a complete renovation.
