Misty Creek Country Club

Set entirely in a natural wildlife preserve, Misty Creek Country Club offers a championship course in a beautiful setting. The course, which was designed by Ted McAnlis and opened in 1985, plays nearly 6,900 yards from the back tees, but there are five other sets, starting at 4,678 yards so everyone can enjoy it. Close to half the holes have water that comes into play, and there are plenty of Spanish-moss covered trees. Golfers will see plenty of deer, birds, alligators, and maybe even a bobcat or two as they navigate this challenging layout. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 452-yard, par-4 fifth. Besides being long, the hole features water everywhere, all down the right side and much of the left side. The fairway is almost an island. The finishing hole has a lot of water on it, too. The 404-yard, par-4 18th has a large pond right of the fairway off the tee, and another one protecting the green. The layout also has a nice variety of par 3 holes and par 5s, with the longest hole on the course being the eighth at 605 yards. The dogleg left hole has water on both sides of the fairway from the tee, and all the way down the left side to the green. In addition to the golf course Misty Creek Country also has excellent practice facilities, with a full driving range with target greens, short-game area, and practice putting green. The clubhouse features a well-stocked golf shop as well as banquet facilities and a full-service restaurant. The Grill Room features a variety of salads, sandwiches, entrees and beverages.
