About Cape Club of Palm City
(Note: this course will reopen in Nov./2022) The Cape Club of Palm City, formerly The Fox Club, is a wonderful Florida layout that was renovated in 2022. Originally designed by Roy Case in 1989, The Cape Club was originally Cobblestone Country Club, a fully private venue that is now open to the public under a new ownership group. The golf course was redesigned in 2018 by Darren Clarke and Eoghan O'Connell in 2017. The course measures nearly 7,100 yards from the back tees with a rating of 74.5 and slope of 148, so it's certainly a good test. Fortunately there are five sets of tees, plus combinations of those sets, to suit every level of player. As for the design, one of the main elements is a large lake that comes into play on no. 3, which is the course's no. 1 handicap hole. The lake is in play on the entire left side 439-yard par-4.The golf course's finishing hole also involves a large lake. At 586 yards, the par-5 is plenty long, and most players will have to hit three accurate shots around the water to find the green. In addition to the Course, The Cape Club also offers excellent practice facilities, which include a driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. There's a well-stocked golf shop in the clubhouse. And golfers as well as nongolfers can enjoy a seasonal menu of lunch and dinner items as well as a full bar in the The Cape Club's restaurant.
