Dye built it soon after he finished his more famous Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, a masterpiece that has been the home of the PGA Tour s Heritage Classic ever since it opened in 1969. Sixteen is an inspiring par 3 that demands a carry over marshland, while 17 and 18 are both marsh bound, long, and tough. The back tee box on 17th sets off from an intimidating, isolated pod perched in the marsh some 200 yards from the start of the fairway.
