Singing Hills Golf Club Oak Glen is the easier of the two full-sized eighteens at the Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan, the only 54-hole facility in San Diego s orbit. The secluded resort, the pride and joy of the Sycuan Tribal community, extends over 400 acres in the dramatic Dehesa Valley, some 20 miles east of San Diego. Ted Robinson, Sr. designed all three courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort: Oak Glen, Willow Glen, and Pine Glen, a par-3 layout. Willow Glen may be the signature championship layout here, but Singing Hills Golf Resort Oak Glen is popular with golfers of all skill levels. Seniors and novices usually prefer it because it occupies gentler, flatter terrain and is a forgiving eighteen. Beautiful oak trees enliven a nice mix of holes that flow well together from start to finish. Like so many designs by Ted Robinson, Sr., who was known as the  King of Waterscapes, Singing Hills Golf Club Oak Glen features a number of picturesque water holes. Among the most memorable is the 4th, a par 3 whose peninsula green is guarded by a lake on the left front and by a large eucalyptus tree on the right that can knock balls down into the water. On the 12th, water tacks up the left side all the way to the green and oak trees and bunkers loom on the right. In total, water comes into play on five holes on Singing Hills Golf Club Oak Glen. This is a very walkable layout if you want to give yourself a little bit more of a workout. The only two hilly holes on Singing Hills Golf Club Oak Glen are the 6th and 7th. For those who want to warm up before their round or work on their game, the resort s impressive array of practice facilities include a driving range and multiple putting and chipping greens. The clubhouse has a well-stocked golf shop and there's a restaurant and bar for your post-round pleasure.
