Designed by Ted Robinson Sr., Enagic Golf Club at Eastlake is a terrific test of golf with water, sand, and beautiful bluegrass and rye fairways. The golf course at Enagic Golf Club, which made its debut in 1991, also features nearly 1,000 trees, as well as six lakes and three waterfalls to complete the experience for the public golfer. And it has a storied history as well, serving as a qualifier site for the PGA Tour's Farmer's Insurance Open as well as the U.S. Senior Open. While the course can certainly be challenging, it's mostly fun, especially if you play the right tees. Fortunately, there are four sets ranging from 5,118 yards to 6,961 yards, which means there's a right yardage for all levels of golfers. A longer set of tees that stretches the course to nearly 7,000 yards is used for professional events. Enagic Golf Club has a great variety of holes with different doglegs and obstacles to navigate. The no. 1 handicap hole is the 470-yard sixth, a fairly sharp dogleg left with a pair of fairway bunkers that loom for tee shots hit through the fairway. The previous hole is pretty difficult as well. The 568-yard, par-5 fifth ends with a green protected by a large pond front and right. Enagic Golf Club also has excellent practice facilities with a full driving range, short-game area and practice green. Lessons are available from the professional staff. And the facility has a well-stocked golf shop in the clubhouse as well as the East Lake Grille, which serves breakfast and lunch items. The menu includes appetizers, rice bowls and a variety of sandwiches.
